We need to move beyond fossil fuels if we want to ensure the future of automobiles, airplanes, etc. Fossil fuels are a limited resource. When we run out, what will happen. We need to start the transition now before it is too late. Do you want to go back to the horse and buggy and sailing ships?

Do I know how much oil is left? No, but I owe it to future people to find a solution. We need to think beyond our individual lifetimes.

Why are some people in denial about a transition away from fossil fuels? No one is forcing you to be an early adopter. But one day, probably within the next 20 years, most new cars will not run on gas alone.

Aight.. Ford, huh...maybe, they need to learn first how to, actually, make decent cars?

What does it mean to be “the new Chevy Bolt?” For those who aren’t familiar, the Chevy Bolt electric hatchback was part of one of the largest electric vehicle recalls in history. The Bolt debuted back in 2016 as a 2017 model year. Critics and experts alike enjoyed the electric car and believed it could potentially lead GM into the electric future.

A few years later, the Bolt nameplate is practically synonymous with controversy. Reports trickled in about Bolt batteries overheating. In 2021, Bolt reliability issues reached a climax after some models caught fire from overheating and became a risk to their owners. General Motors was forced to recall every Bolt that the automaker had produced.

NBC News claims that the Bolt battery fire recall cost GM $2 billion dollars. LG is reimbursing General Motors, but the damage to the American automaker’s reputation in the EV space is already done. GM refuses to give up on the Bolt nameplate thus far, but will consumers ever look at the electric car the same way again?

The Ford Mustang Mach-E hasn’t experienced anything as serious as battery fires yet, but its recent recall is troubling. Ford has instructed dealers not to sell the Mach-E until the automaker recalls the electric SUV. According to Road Show by CNET, over 48,000 Ford Mustang Mach-E models are being recalled.

Theres already enough discovered oil currently for 250 years of supply (much 'discovered' in only the last few years), coal and natural gas for a 1,000 years. That is just what is known. Oil companies have never wanted to market the idea that theres such a supply because it bring down prices.

Green energy has its negatives to local environments.

Also hate the term fossil fuels because science proved us again wrong that its made of fossils but naturally occuring from the earth. Saturns moon Titan (the orange one) has hundreds times the amount of hydrocarbons than Earth does.

No more corporate welfare at the expense of working folks.

Why do Democrats want to give welfare to large corporations?

What the anti-oil people really want is to throttle any kind of inexpensive mobility.

That right there. Honda is running in second.

The American auto manufacturers just keep putting garbage out. History shows their incompetence.

Remember the days when their competitors were being called rice burners?

Yea. How’d that work out for you?

And the go green people want you to buy EV’s from them now.

15 to 20 year implosion plan. What to do with all those depleted and worthless batteries?

Nuke plants are cheaper in the long run.

And I think once the new wave of EV's from the Detroit three start coming to market, they will also have an extremely high amount of US content, because , at the moment, the OEM's are keeping their technologies secret, and proprietary. So design and manufacturing of the components will be done stateside.

It's about buying votes and campaign dollars from unions.

Do tell. I don't remember the government handing me a check (or tax credit) when I bought an ICE vehicle, and they actually penalize the oil industry with fuel taxes.
