I think Buttigieg is going to be a Democratic front runner in 2028 if not 2024.
28 makes more sense for him...he'll be in his mid to late 40s then...still too young w/ little experience now...plus maybe by then him being gay won't be as big of a deal.
I had wanted Elizabeth Warren or Bernie before...Warren makes a lot of sense but may be too liberal and too much of a policy wonk to get elected...
Senator Klobuchar would be a nice choice...Senator Sherrod Brown would be a good choice too...he knows how to get the working class vote...he has dominated all his Senate races in Ohio, even though we definitely lean to the right as a state.
IF....... ha, ha, ha , biden doesn;t run, a democrat should run.
I imagine a democrat would constitute a genuine new party as the old democrat party has been hijacked by socialists hiding behind the democrats identity.
Only hope for dems in 2024 is another corrupted election. Works so well for them in their primaries.
She was popular because she was inoffensive and apolitical as First Lady. But if she ran, it's a very different story. She would have to stake out clear-cut policies and work with the existing Democratic party, who are unpopular enough as it is. And while she maintained an excellent facade as First Lady, she did have moments pre and post White House with decidedly controversial opinions. Once she declared a candidacy, she would be as divisive as any politician. The Republicans would easily frame her as an anointed Hillary II rather than someone accomplished on her own merits.
I guess people have forgotten that Michelle said that she had never been proud of her country until her husband was nominated for the presidency?

Warren makes a lot of sense? How? She's almost as big of a radical Socialist as Bernie. She also lied about her "Native American heritage" and benefited tremendously throughout her lifetime for pushing said lie. Her solution is to destroy business owners like Elon Musk, and all of capitalism, because in her mind, that's the reason we're in the mess we're in right now.
Michelle Obama would seem the logical candidate but she won't run. I assume Kamala will take his place if he doesn't run.
Of course she will. Despite Democrat voters making it abundantly, embarassingly clear they didn't want her in 2020. And she's done a pretty good job of showing they were right... she's got nothing going on.

Welllll...she will be the former VP (just as Biden was...)

"Karen of Congress" would be like nails on a chalkboard.
Michelle hates politics. She'd never run, but I'd love it if she would.
Why in the world would we want a president who hates our country and views every issue from the standpoint of race? Didn't we have enough of that under Obama?
If Biden doesn't run, then the primary election earlier in 2024 will become hugely significant.
Who will be in it? And who will win, to go on to the Nov 2024 election? And why?
At this point, can you even imagine stepping into the voting booth on Nov. 5, 2024, and finding Joe Biden's name as the only Democrat candidate for President?
The only Democrat I might ever support is Tulsi Gabbard. I disagree more times with her than agree, but I see her as a person who really cares about USA and people who elected her.
And there are only a few Republicans I'd vote for either. Definitely Donald Trump, definitely Rand Paul, maybe DeSantis and maybe Ted Cruz.
I'd really love Raskin but I doubt there's a way. I do have to be reasonable about this.
I'd also love to see Mitt run as an R and I'd even vote for him though I am a registered Democrat. (I don't always vote a straight party line, I make the best choice even if it's not my party.) I feel like Mitt could be a "reach across the asile" guy.
If Mitt runs, I'll vote Libertarian candidate.
