If there was an ounce of truth to that, the committee would be screaming about it from the highest hill. Everyone knows this was a set up.

Oh I absolutely believe it was a setup, just as you said in your initial post. I just don't believe Trump was behind it. The setup (IMO, because really, I don't think 'we the people' will ever get the real truth) was orchestrated to get Trump. Some on the right and most on the left. Enough on both sides to look at the long term view & do what they had to do to save their own political skin. Especially the ones who were in his camp at the start & then turned at the 11th hour. The dirtbags behind this knew if they could get the wacko mobs in enough of a frenzy, the opportunity wouldn't go wasted.
I read & watch a lot of news sites from all angles, most of which I think are 10% truth & 90% spin. I read many forums besides this one. I keep my mouth shut & my ears open at work in a heavily left-leaning environment. It's somewhat encouraging to know I'm far from the only one looking at our political leaders of all stripes and asking who's zoomin' who.

That's an old video from January. It was during the time when Cruz was begging the GOP for forgiveness after Tucker Carlson lambasted Cruz for calling Jan 6 a, "violent terrorist attack". It was pure theater. What that clip didn't show was Jill Sanborn, deputy director of the FBI, telling him that the FBI doesn't comment on tactics, so she can't answer his questions.
Pure theater. Your guys are trying desperately to find other people on which to blame Jan, 6, but we're way past that.
Watch the hearings. Maybe you'll learn something.
