If you are trying to defend this open border policy, you failed with this tact.

Basically, the Left created a problem (open border), works on a parallel or collateral problem (illegal entries) created by the main problem, then toots their horn on how effective they are at the main problem. This is the sort of rhetorical sleight-of-hands that do not work, but somehow the Left believes it does.

Funny thing about that. Controlling and securing our borders is the responsibility of the executive branch, not the legislative branch. Now, don't get me wrong, the legislature could do more. Including passing laws preventing any illegals to remain in the country pending approval of application for asylum. You know, like Trump did.
