Yes I do...when you run up stairs you can get tripped up.
Of course some other Presidents NEVER had this happened because they barely could lift one leg at a time let alone take the steps sprinting.
It is 86 degrees he's out riding with his wife. He's 79. A declining man would do the recumbent bike in the basement....
And yes he stopped to talk to people and caught his toe in the foot cage. makes for great memes and some clever lines as demonstrated here but truly indicative of a man physically failing --- yeah no.

His right foot got caught up in the foot holder that's on the pedal. I don't know why anyone uses those things.
Look at this right foot in this link. There's a black foot holder and when he stopped, the right foot got tangled up in the holder that is attached to the pedal.

He wasn't "running" up the stairs the last time and he wasn't "sprinting" the other times either.

As others have pointed out, his toe was trapped in the toe clip. I've seen it happen many, many times and done it myself. Otherwise the president looked pretty steady on his bike, but he might want to consider using standard pedals from now on to prevent future mishaps.
