January 6 committee info here as well...looks to be bipartisan...mounds of evidence only a week into investigation (remember watergate took over a year)with more damning evidence systematically surfacing daily

Merrick Garland may have no choice BUT to bring a criminal indictment against Trump. Our democracy would probably not survive otherwise. If Trump could get away with his crimes then he and any of his sycophants could get away with anything.
J. Michael Luttig, a retired judge, Republican and staunchly conservative, said
"Trump is a ‘clear and present danger’ to democracy"
He reminded everyone that Trump and his confederates not only targeted our democracy after losing in 2020, they’re prepared to do so again.
"If the former president or his anointed successor as the Republican Party presidential candidate were to lose that election, that they would attempt to overturn that 2024 election in the same way that they attempted to overturn the 2020 election, but succeed in 2024, where they failed in 2020. They are executing that blueprint in open and plain view of the American public.”
I ask again; why not try to give a serious answer instead of constantly being so flip: can't the Republicans find somebody better to run in 2024 who can also lower taxes on the wealthy instead of a dishonest, in-it-for-all-he-can-get-out-of-it morally bankrupt shell of a man with a bad orange spray-on tan? The Republican party can't be that bad off, can it? Find somebody else to run.
Why? That's the guy. That's who the American people want. Right ?
