So now Clarence Thomas is telling the Supreme Court to go after birth control and gay marriage. See page 119 of the Supreme Court opinion, second paragraph.
Like I stated republicans in these states have no plan to help unwanted pregnancies from poor women with Foster Care or any other services. Middle class women will live life as usual, poor women will be deeply affected.
Its shameful that the feds have not created a nationwide adoption agency.
Biden's speech was shameful as usual. Full of lies, improperly criticizing the Supreme Court, continuing the overt left-wing insurrection against our country's institutions.
Expect more violence, implicitly called for by Pelosi, Biden, and all the other LWNJs stoking the violence with their reaction to this opinion.
There are certainly zealots with a religious motivation that may indeed want to see such government restrictions implemented. But I assure you amongst mainstream conservatives such as myself we recognize these types as zealots and make it plain they do not even come close to speaking for conservatives as a whole.
But the strident zealots are who get the media coverage. The same is true of the lib/progg population.
You're responding do one of those progressive zealots here. They're not going to respond to reason, any more than they will read and try to understand the actual effect of this ruling.
It's just noise and rage and hysterics.
I encourage people to listen to which side the actual crazy talk and behavior is actually coming from. There is no conservative movement to control women from the right. The truth is, the opposite.
The true progressives of 10 or 20 years ago actually already won that fight. Progress has been made, and the vast majority of conservatives are FINE with that! Progressives should be cheering the progress that has been made, but these are not.
Why not? Why are they continuously screaming about slavery and racism and oppression of gays? Why do they have to twist the right to life into an attempt to enslave women in order to make it wrong? Why are they saying things the right hasn't been saying for decades? The answer is, it's all they have. It's a hysterical attempt by the shrinking and increasingly desperate left, to hang on to their tight control over their own by convincing them it is the right who seeks to oppress them. They're not going to convince anyone on the right with these tactics, wearing pants with bloody crotches clutching what appear to be fully formed babies they apparently want the right to kill... While claiming it is the women, not the babies, we should be protecting in that case. They are twisting the reality and lying to their own people in a desperate attempt to keep them afraid. Nothing else makes sense.
One of the more out-of-left-field moments I've seen in a while (yes I know this was leaked a bit ago). Never thought I would see Roe v. Wade overturned in my lifetime. Abortion was a background issue with SCOTUS stacking by Trump, but other than that, it wasn't one of the major, cornerstone issues the last few elections. States' right matter again. In 2022? Fascinating.
So filling a vacant post is now considered stacking?

This is a slippery slope to all rights that were gained through blood, sweat and tears from the 60's on forward.
We know it when we see it.
