SCOTUS Justice Clarence Thomas has already gone on record today that the court should consider overturning other cases in which privacy was the argument:

He specifically mentioned -

- Contraception (i.e. the right to use contraception)

- Same-sex unions

Those who were handwaving it away as just "lib hysteria" were and are woefully naive.

The Supreme Court is dividing the country, further, in their unwise mindsets.
They support Democracy. Democracy is messy. Some people oppose it when they don't get their way.

We're rapidly deteriorating into a conservative authoritarian state.

And that is exactly what Roe and Obergefell were. Laws.

There were a lot of ways to address the issues same sex couples had without redefining marriage by 5 unelected, appointed for life judges.

Roe was a compromise piece of legislation that had absolutely nothing to do with the Constitution.

Marriage has to remain a legal concept if only to handle divorce/breakup of relationship, what to do about children, what to do about property, etc.

So the judges give it back to elected state representatives. How is that authoritarian?

Marriage is NOT always a religious ceremony. MATRIMONY is. I can get married at the court house with no religion involved.

How does same sex marriage negatively affect you personally? It doesn't. It can't. No one is forcing you to get same sex married. No one is forcing anyone to perform same sex marriages. There is no negative impact.
