Not only does that not prohibit all abortions', it does not prohibit abortions when there is rape or incest. But even if it's a pregnancy caused by consenting sexual intercourse, you can still get an abortion in Texas.
Texas law prohibits abortions, with no exceptions other than life of the mother, starting 30 days after Roe is overturned

https://statutes.capitol.texas.gov/D...tm/HS.170A.htm

https://capitol.texas.gov/tlodocs/87...l/HB01280F.HTM Section 3 describes how the law goes into effect

SECTION 3. Section 2 of this Act takes effect, to the extent
permitted, on the 30th day after:
(1) the issuance of a United States Supreme Court
judgment in a decision overruling, wholly or partly, Roe v. Wade,
410 U.S. 113 (1973), as modified by Planned Parenthood v. Casey, 505
U.S. 833 (1992), thereby allowing the states of the United States to
prohibit abortion;
(2) the issuance of any other United States Supreme
Court judgment in a decision that recognizes, wholly or partly, the
authority of the states to prohibit abortion; or
(3) adoption of an amendment to the United States
Constitution that, wholly or partly, restores to the states the
authority to prohibit abortion.

Do not try and tell me that Texas is allowing abortions in the case of rape or incest.

Sure. Women who need a abortion to save their life are not going to be able to get one because no dr wants to risk the life sentence. Theyre going to be delayed while they try and find someone. And no clinics will remain open.

They made no moral justification…they only said the people in each state should decide. Regardless, you do realize that some states may liberalize abortion rules, and some people from states that prohibit abortion may travel to liberalized abortion states to secure an abortion? You realize individuals, companies, pro choice organizations will likely help fund those trips? Don’t be so certain you are going to get the “moral” outcome you believe is appropriate.
Although I don’t like it I can see the legal point of returning the decision to the states.

What I don’t like is the collateral issues that are getting energized. Before the decision I read an article about a group that wanted to ban birth control by riding on the coattails of a RVW reversal. I thought it was just some far right nut jobs in an obscure group. Then the decision came out and Thomas mentions these other issues so now there is a feeding frenzy.

Then there is this guy:

https://www.motherjones.com/politics...-american-law/

The article is from April 2022.

He designed the Texas law and now other states are using it as a template. He is not done. He has another twisted legal approach that by using an 1850 Texas law about abortion he now wants to prosecute organizations that fund abortions and their donors. He also has worked to roll back LBGTQ rights. It all seems so nutty but here we are.

Wow. Doctors in your world must be seriously bad if they don't have any test results that would show that the woman has a life threatening illness or disease.

But as they say...be careful for what you wish for....The Left can implement the same strategy. The Supreme Court has a right to their rulings based on the current makeup of the court...them's the rules. My own opinion is that the recent rulings especially on Roe is an overshoot. This will galvanize the liberal base for years to come. It will be an interesting midterm.
My experience with most liberal Democrats is that they get "galvanized"for 20 minutes and the a new shiny ball, squirrel or butterfly goes by and their attention is diverted to the new "cause du jour".

Kind of like my dog's attention span.

It's not rocket science.
Any woman with an IQ above 80 can easily avoid getting pregnant and will never need to have an abortion.
Anyone with an IQ over 80 should know that condoms, pills, and tracking the menstrual cycle are not fail-proof ways for preventing pregnancy. Many women can’t tolerate the side effects of the pills. Women in these abortion-restricted red states can avoid unplanned pregnancy by only have sex with men already had vasectomies or just resorting to their “toys”. Time to buy stocks for these toys. There’ll be many sexually frustrated men in these red states if the women come to their senses and protect themselves.

They couldn’t control women in the 50’s. What makes these men think they can control the women now.

Then you should be celebrating with joy, more babies means more future Democrat voters.

But in reality, most women who don't want children are not dumb enough to let a state line stop them from getting an abortion, no matter how dumb Democrats think they are.

Democrat think people of color can't get an ID to vote, and now they think people of color have never crossed state lines.

In a way, though, your post seems condescending-towards the dog.

Watching some interviews with doctors talking about how there is lot of situations where abortion is required such as a fetus where the brain is developing outside the skull. This baby will never survive but the mother is forced to carry that baby all the way to term and give birth to a dead baby. She is going around everyone "When will you have the baby" all well knowing that the baby is going to live.

There is one other sure way to not get pregnant. It doesn't take a high IQ to know what it is.

Get with the new program, liberals. Your baby killing days are over. Now is the time to let responsibility reign in your lives.
