Sincere question for those who voted no—Why would you want contraceptives to be illegal?

Yes.

But tax payers aren't going to foot the bills.

While I can't disagree that a good many generational parents have fallen down on the job of sex education, I also can't agree that the current generation of schools are best qualified with all the questioning of 'do you think you are a boy or girl?' nonsense with drag queen party time thrown in.

And as for the hypocrisy in this country, something else caught my attention. A little ditty posted online in response to the protests happening now. It read:

If you praise a woman who aborted her child because she did what was best for herself, then I hope you praise men for abandoning their children because they did what was best for themselves.

Even though I didn't like it, I couldn't disagree with it.
I do.

Demonstrating low character isn't best for the man, and also isn't best for anyone else.

A law seems needless.
If the SC decision that made access to birth control legal were to be overturned, any state that wants to could make it illegal in their state. Just like is happening now with abortion laws because Roe v Wade was just overturned.

Everything that isn't expressly illegal is legal - no law required.
Abortion was legal across the country until a few days ago. Now it's not. They could just as easily make contraception illegal if someone brings a case for that.

How would you feel about it if your wife or girlfriend always said no because your state outlawed birth control?

How many states at that time restricted access to birth control only to married women?

The History Channel recently had a show about the times when condoms were illegal. You might look it up. It was interesting.
