Do they realize that 20 to 30% of the party self-identify as pro-life?

Do they realize that this is a form of extremism to have a party purity test?

I am a pro-life WOMAN Democrat and I strongly dislike the constant punching down on us within the party and the taking our votes for granted.

I once had a smug Democrat male known for being a womanizer call me "cutie" and tell me that I am "anti-women" because I believe in protecting life.

You can't build a strong party by driving out 20 to 30% of your party for their deeply held moral convictions that all life has value. You can't say we are the party of diversity and tolerance and then demand that people meet an ideological purity test or be expelled.

I can't justify in my mind something like the below happening to an innocent baby within the womb that can feel pain, has brain waves, can recognize different voices, and has a heartbeat. Where is the choice to live for that human?

Therefore, I should be purged out of the party even though I agree on the environment, social safety net, opposing capital punishment, national health care and other issues?

I am not planning on leaving the Democrats, but if I ever do, it will likely be them demonizing me enough over this.

I don't understand how AOC ever got elected, and given that, how she ever gained any traction. She acts like a 4 year old.

Democrats certainly don’t need to agree on all issues. I am not pro choice with no limits except in medical emergencies.

Surely you know that the left is infamous for eating their own, right?

Don't worry, the democrats will leave you. The progressive radicals in your party have taken command. Biden is not in charge of anything other than his flavor of afternoon pudding, and even that's debatable.

AOC and other Democrats want to boot Pro-Life Democrats out of the Party?

Of course. They've wanted to do that from Square One. And/or smear them, politically destroy them, or otherwise treat them like Republicans.

But will they be able to? That's a very different question, probably with a very different outcome.

This is the biggest problem in the country. People think they are "part" of the party. The job of the voter is to vote for the people who are best for the country not the people who run as part of a "party".

That's a totally outrageous statement by AOC. It's impossible for everyone in the party to be ideologically aligned on every single issue, the Dems need to embrace and accept diversity of viewpoints just as they embrace diversity of the people that serve. The Dems are the party of the big tent, someone needs to tell AOC it's not her tent.

Let the far left progressives start their own party instead of backpacking on the Democrat Party and lets see how many national elections they win. Outside of NYC, LA, SF, CHI and Boston they don't have a snowballs chance in hell in districts that are anything besides deep blue.
