What laws, gun laws or other, stop criminals?

The ONLY way to stop them is to remove them from society harshly...it removes them and hopefully is a deterrent to others.

As it stands now the left wants to disarm the law abiding and set the criminals free!

The FBI statistics show that 80-90% of ALL violent crime is committed by PRIOR violent felons. It seems to me simply enough that taking THEM off the streets will reduce violent felonies by that same 80-90%.

Well these Dem run cesspools certainly are not interested in keeping criminals under control or accountable.

Perhaps a domestic violence situation. Where do you get 'probably'? NYC does not have a gang presence similar to the one in Chicago.

Crime must be brought under control with stiff sentences

Close that revolving door because the criminals know they can get away with it.

You are wrong...Death Penalty is definitely a deterrent.

Not to mention the uncomfortable time on Death Row (which can last yrs).

The death penalty remains the strongest deterrent to violent crime https://thehill.com/opinion/criminal...violent-crime/

The prime suspect has never been arrested. So that wouldn’t work here.

The ones which prohibit the sale of instruments of crime. We don't have too much crime by people using explosives -- prohibition works.

Not in this case. No prior arrests.

The shooter must have been a legal gun owner that passed background checks.
