Each democratic state is divided into left, right and center political parties, etc. this is how democracy works (e.g. France, UK, Germany, Spain etc.) - If you want one political party, one dictator, one policy and similar people, I suggest moving to Russia, China or North Korea. Breaking the USA into several parts or the secession of California or Texas is the goal of Russia and China, and they use specially trained agents, trolls on the Internet. Americans, don't be naive.

Canada, Germany, Australia are nice. I hear Portugal is the hot new destination for retirees.
So your logic is that because you met some people from Venezuela who were "great people" that means Venezuela is an example of a socialist paradise??? I've met some "great" Chinese people and Cuban people and Russian people. I hear those places are pretty "great" also.

I agree. They have soooo much faith they are willing to cover their eyes and bend over for their government.

No I think it’s a horrible idea, United we stand, divided we fall. I think people who want to see the US officially divided should look into what happened to Yugoslavia and the USSR after they split up, resulted in tons of poverty, conflict and war, and as the current war in Ukraine has shown, the region hasn’t even begun to stabilise.

Even if the Blue and Red states separate peacefully (as was the case for the USSR) who is to say that 30 years from now we will be waging war against one another? And I can definitely guarantee that the break up won’t be as clean as the OP suggests. Most states are fairly purple and many people will be trapped in the country that opposes their view point. And as others already pointed at, the divisions are not at state lines, but at the boundaries between Urban and Rural, with suburbs being largely purple.

I think going forward to bring some kind of peace, we should consider redrawing the state lines with each metro area getting their own city state. Or at least Rural and Urban areas need their own tax structures, But otherwise we should remain untied as a country. The Urban and Rural folks need each other to function properly. The rural areas generate raw resources that fuel the Urban areas which generate the wealth that is then used to fund the infrastructure of the rural areas in a feed back loop. They need one another.

For once we agree...or at least I agree with this part of your post.
Liberals can love America just as much as Conservatives do. This land is their land...as well as yours.
To me it seems to be more Conservatives on here who are wanting to split our beautiful Country in two.
That's just not right....for anybody to say right or left or in between.

For all the liberals trashing the nation, I hear Guatemala and Ecuador are nice this time of year. Or maybe socialist Venezuela is more to your liking. They would love to have you. All of you.

Exactly. My Sentiments also.
This is the Greatest Country on earth....if you don't love it then leave it....don't let the door hit you in the Arse on the way out!

It's not the liberals who are trashing our electoral system, it's not the liberals who tried to kill the vice president and overturn the last election.

It's not the liberals hard at work dismantling the EPA, or OSHA, or the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, or Social Security.

Looks to me like the liberals have more faith in this country and it's many blessings than their polar opposites.

Truth.

Those countries have far more viable political parties than just 2.

The problem in America is every political decision alienates 50% of the people who do not like it, and many political decision are based off religion or re-election chances.

There really is no solution other than learning to live with it, until you have the resources, job, or passive income to stay abroad long term to escape the polarization of American politics.
