I learned a new term after reading this: Deadnaming. It's apparently calling a person by their birth name.

No, he is not in a downward spiral. He is finding venues where his perspective and experience are valued. I say power to him. He is in the process of writing another book as well. All in all, he is probably the most intellectually honest individual I've become familiar with.

Correct, this is his new business. He's successfully commercialized being a troll. More power to him imo. Trolling pays better than the clinical practice or his tenured position at U of Toronto did. Anyway, it's irrelevant as he quit Twitter back in May so it really makes absolutely no difference whether Twitter suspends his inactive account or not.

He's an addict in early recovery. He is exhibiting all the signs of someone either in a relapse or about to. I don't know how anyone can think that behavior is normal but maybe I am just tuned in because I had to recover myself. He was addicted to Benzo's...those are brutal and recovery from that takes years. Also, he's left with the reason he started them in the first place.

Mentally and physically that's pretty safe to say. I mean, we're talking about someone who describes himself as a suicidal drug addict. In a lot of ways his new job as a professional troll likely helps in that regard. Keeping up his previous simultaneous careers as a clinician and professor had to be demanding. In comparison being an internet troll has to be much less demanding. He's good at it too, so again, more power to him in my book.
