I have lived here for 19 years, know many people of Mexican as well as other origins (oh no! Run away, run away!) and I have never had to speak a word of Spanish here. I hear it spoken and I know some Spanish but no, you don't "need" it.
Bit if you've heard this is the case, well...that must be right..
You've heard a lot of stuff you choose to believe. Solid.
I'm Hispanic, and have lived here my whole life, and I don't speak Spanish, not do I "NEED" to. Most of my siblings don't speak Spanish either.
There's just a lot of paranoid people out there... lol.
The more people you share a home with, the more affordable it becomes. Double up in the bedrooms with one or two more sleeping in the living room.
In rental homes many landlords forbid that, but only if they're checking on the property regularly. Driving through some neighborhoods you get the impression nobody actually cares.
Yeah, it's how the poor immigrants live, 10 people in a 3 bedroom house.
That's what happens in SC. Illegals move to a run down town and then they live in abandoned old houses in huge groups. They take over these areas and if you find a grocery store in this area it is mostly Mexican foods with dusty shelves, etc.
We'll be 3rd World soon enough and the whole US will be more like this.
Soon CA will be a good amount of illegals that can't afford to keep up with their place to keep it clean. These conditions will spread to nicer areas further up north. No way would I live in CA. I've heard the horror stories from people that have moved to my state. They also refuse to go back. They are so happy to be out of that place.
The old timers tell me that it ain't the same CA they grew up in. So many things are different now. Houses cost them as little as $40K. The population was way smaller. Public employees didn't have king salary, pension, and benefits like they do now. And of course, there were less illegals.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom aired an ad over the July Fourth weekend, inviting Floridians to California for more "freedom."
OMG ... really? Is Newsome a stoner? or just delirious? So is Newsome running for president and sees DeSantis as his competition?
Feel free to chime in.
I hope everyone in Florida doesn't have the same type of restrictions as we do here. Or at least SF. Seems that you aren't allowed to park in your own driveway/carpad now. A couple was fined $1,500 for parking their car on their own property.

Just when I though SF was regaining some sanity by removing that goofy DA. They're still doing some crazy things. smh
Oh, don't worry. In Florida you can park your car on your own lawn.
