the problem is, we all can’t agree on what the right direction is. the left want us to go further left, the right want further right.
The right has barely pulled onto the shoulder of the road, while the left has crossed the center line, jumped the ditch on the left side of the road, and is now driving at full throttle across a field away from the road. The behavior of the left over the last 10 years of is not even remotely comparable to that of the right.
However we can be a nation of virtues and values, you know... that place where our greatness cultivated.
the way i see it, we have
the political establishment left and right which for all intents and purposes are status quo, basically enriching themselves and putting America last.
then us regular folks are mostly center right, who would like America center right (far right according to the left)
the far left extremists are the loudest, control the media, academia, big corporations, and narratives. they hold most of the wealth. they want America further left.

By global standards, the Democrats are a center-right party and the Republicans are a far-right party.
For example, every other rich-world democracy has universal healthcare. Republicans consider universal healthcare to be a far-left idea, but it is solidly mainstream elsewhere. Democrats debate whether or not universal healthcare would be a good idea. That makes the Democrats a center-right party.
Most Americans, especially on the Right, have no idea just how far-right America is compared to the rest of the first world. America is left-wing only by the standards of places like Saudi Arabia.

That analogy is spot on. Not only is the Left driving at full speed while weaving across random fields, they cut the brake lines and broke off the steering wheel. It's akin to suicidal behavior.

Does anybody know anyone that actually thinks we're on the "right track"? Serious question.
