No vital signs, not looking good.

So much for 'gun-safe' Japan.

Anyways these types of assassination attempts in Japan are relatively rare, and motivated by internal political disagreements, committed by Japanese citizens.

Suspect looks like a young guy.

RIP (worst case)-this assassination is an atrocity. I have seen reports that he was wounded, others saying he's dead. Does Japan have a death penalty?
By hanging. 107 are on death row.

This is very sad, and a case of why former U.S. presidents like Trump have lifelong secret service protection.

Politicians in many countries are known to go into exile after serving in public office.

This is both sad and shocking. All these years, we heard about Japan having strict gun control to the point where the crazies resort to stabbing others. To hear that he was shot really took me aback.

Gun nuts are quick to say, "Japan has strict gun control, but there still is a gun violence. Gun control don't work."

But that's like one compared thousands in America.

So 1 incident in how many years is proof that their gun laws are a failure?

I've read that it was a homemade gun, or something like that.

He was just the usual narcissist nutter with an axe to grind and get some infamy.

NHK quoted the suspect as telling police he was dissatisfied with Abe and wanted to kill him. The 41-year-old man is reported to be an ex-military member — a former maritime self-defence force member, reported Fuji TV.

Japan is 99% homogenous, with strict immigration.

If that's your utopia, then clearly you want to kick all the non-white people out of America.

Well lets use our brain here. There's no mass whining over inequality, oppression, and slavery, and using that to justify crime and looting.

The left loves to celebrate low/no crime in Europe/East Asia, but America doesn't have the same demographics as those countries.
