His handlers know he can do very little with an EO, not even Congress can do much. But they won’t attempt anything aggressive because they want that carrot to hold in front of pro abortion people in November.
In fact, it will need a 2/3 majority of each house of Congress, followed by 3/4 of the State legislatures.
Until they get that, the Fed govt can have nothing to do with regulating abortion.
I say they can still make it happen. After decades of Abortion Rights the rug has really been pulled out from the women and even though I am not a fan of Abortion I still think there are circumstances that require we keep the medical procedure open to everyone that needs it.
The thing is the Democrats, as much as they scream about this SC decision will no doubt refuse to do anything at the Federal level because they can use this BAN ON ABORTION! and ASSAULT ON WOMEN! against the Republicans from now to the midterms. They are using it to start talking about stacking the court again.
This is the problem with our Elected Elite these days. They would rather talk and complain than do anything of substance.
He thinks he's the king, and can decree social norms from on high.
