Shouldn’t be so high to begin with. The war on fossil fuels, and a war has consequences. When it gets down to because Trump levels around $2/gallon, then it’ll mean something.

Oh, please. The plan was get the gas prices super high so that when they settle at just high, everyone is supposed to be grateful.

The $2 a gallon gas prices were unsustainable for the oil industry.

We can't go back there, and expect all to work out nicely.

Are you wondering how conservatives are reacting, now that the price is going down?

Fox News is now saying that gas prices are falling too fast, with a host saying that this decline is “historically faster than usual” which is causing “independently-owned mom-and-pop gas stations” to “struggle.”

Happy for any lower prices but the fact remains that in December of 2020, gas here where I live was $1.87 per gallon. Wonder what's changed?

Yay! We're in the high $4's now instead of the low $5's! Celebration time!

You know what's going down way faster than gas prices?

Joe's approval rating.

Except it was sustainable for a long time and certainly could’ve remained sustainable. Unfortunately, gas prices have gone up same as the last time Sleepy Joe was in office. War and the war on fossil fuels aka go green, has consequences.

ExxonMobil made well over $4b profit in the 2nd quarter 2021. I know math isn't important anymore, but that's a helluva big number.

Biden and his administration's policies were not responsible for the entire increase, but a good portion of it.

This fluctuation is most likely due to lower demand, and that in itself should be concerning. This is normally the summer travel season, demand should NOT be going down to this level. So you are correct, nothing he has done would be responsible for the $0.30/gallon drop I have seen in the last week.

However, it doesn't really matter because his continual policies are still a primary reason I am paying at least $2/gallon more than I was last year.
