I don't understand why people don't see the underlined.
Believers in the religion of climate change say it's humane to save the environment and protect the world in the future... while at the same time approving policies that cause people to freeze to death today because of a lack of reliable energy.
Right! Flawed science and marketing spin has younger generations fooled and brainwashed. They won't give up what they have but will support policies that kill people.
When haven't some third world countries been unstable? Most of them are living on a bubble that can be disrupted by a bad harvest, economic disruption, or climate shift. History is replete with nations that fell into chaos for reasons other than political events.
Sri Lanka is the current crisis, and the subsequent real insurrection, unlike the fake insurrection of Jan 6th, just toppled their government.
People have no gas for transportation, no way to create electricity, no cooking oil, and the economy has completely collapsed.
Ghana is another country under serious duress, to go along with South Africa and many other so called third world countries. 8 hour rolling blackouts are common place now.
Even Europe is under duress, France and Germany have severe shortages and have started rationing, and even the Netherlands has had some recent unrest about farmers unable to get fertilizer.
The leftists will all tell you it’s Putin’s fault, or it’s COVID’s fault, but they are lying to you.
Green energy policy is destroying millions of people’s lives. The leftist elite do not care at all, they will continue living their normal lives, while billions of others suffer and die, just so they can “save the planet”.
Can this happen in the US? Look at Texas and their power grid struggles due to wind energy, and look at Florida banning fertilizer. Not to mention all the idiocy going on in blue states.
If we continue down this road, life is about to get infinitely tougher, and it has nothing to do with Putin and nothing to do with Covid.
Trump warned us all, but idiots didn’t listen and voted for Biden, who’s main goal is to kill the fossil fuel industry at any cost. If millions need to die around the world, so be it.

You know what else is destroying millions of people's lives? Lack of potable water, air that is increasingly saturated with carbon dioxide/methane, and catastrophic weather events. Young people especially, those who will be around for 50 more years, are right to be concerned.
Do you drive a car? Or ride a bicycle instead?
Does your home have an HVAC system? Or do you do without?
Do you fly commercially?
Do you have home appliances, & TV's?
Do you buy Chinese products, & plastics?
Is your home/condo/apt over 800 sq ft.?
After you go Green, I'll follow suit...until then, some introspection may be in order.
Ecology is just a ruse radicals use to overthrow the status quo. All you need to do is examine their hyocrisy.
Their behaviors reveal that they don't care about the environment. They have kids, eat meat, drive cars, fly commercially or privately, take cruises, buy Chinese goods made in filth-spewing factories, buy plastics, use electricity...just like all the rest of us...some are much worse.
"Green" is a lie, its just an attack on how we all live being made by wannabe dictators, & some Sheeple who follow them; who are hypocrites too.

I think you are greatly underestimating the negative effects that could, and will, occur as a result of the ban. Even the third and fourth order of events, or trickle down effect, that can’t even be predicted right now.
But this is exactly what leftists do. They look at a problem and present a solution without understanding they are doing more harm than good.
An example is wind power. Fossil fuels do pollute (not as much as they say, but it does affect the environment some), but wind/solar power is clean. So let’s go to wind/solar power. Sounds good, right?
But look at just a few of the negative effects of wind/solar power:
1) Blight on the landscape , with many dead windmills/panel farms just left in place at the end of their life cycle.
2) kills many birds like fossil fuel production does.
3) manufactured in China, who do not have our best interests at heart.
5) How is it manufactured? By the use of fossil fuels and coals to fire the plants, and petroleum based material used on the actual windmills and solar panels. Ironic, right?
6) needs to be transported around the globe, and ships are huge polluters of the environment
7) wind is not constant, sunshine is not constant, so the grid can’t keep up with demand. People die from extreme heat and cold that fossil fuel could easily handle.
I’m not a climate change denier, but I am firmly opposed to the entire Green Energy Industry as it is doing way more harm than good.
Let’s come up with some real solutions, and if we don’t have them yet, let’s keep working on it while we use fossil fuels. Democrats are trying to sprint when they should be taking baby steps.

OP, the biggest problem in Sri Lanka was a nationwide move to organic farming banning fertilizer and pesticides etc.
If you're going to note Sri Lanka at least lay the blame where it belongs.
This destroyed their tea and rice yields costing them billions of dollars. They then ended the ban.
Probably one of the dumbest moves I've ever seen, hey, let's just go with a nationwide ban instead of testing it on a limited scale first.

Ah, the same young people who are the world's great consumer of fossil fuels that has ever existed? The same generation who requires air conditioning everywhere, who never puts down their electronic devices, who don't walk but uber everywhere, who consume $10 Starbucks drinks everyday and who can't be bothered to make a sandwich at home but order fast food take out - usually delivered - on the regular.
