Congress is not a court. Their power to force people to testify must be related to a legislative function. What piece of legislation is this committee working on that requires anyone to show up???
Being "a Republican" means nothing, especially not the point you're making. Liz Cheney is a "Republican."
There are plenty of establishment/deep state/sellout "Republicans" who keep the title even though they are just as liberal and Trump-obsessed as any Democrat.
