So far I have lost my football team and I have to answer extra forms demanding to know my pronouns to be seen by the doctor and in some other places.
I have not yet been asked to call someone by a wrong pronoun. I refuse to get in the gutter and deliberately use improper grammar to pacify illiterate trash.
Has anyone ever asked you to call them a special pronoun? Have you seen a pregnant man? Have you seen a man chest feed?
Is your job WOKE and certain things are required of you now? Are certain words off limits now?
I'm sorry but if anyone asks me to start calling them a certain crazy pronoun, I'm walking away from the crazy. I'm not feeding it.
I'm just curious how bad the WOKEness is in your area.
Originally, the woke movement was awareness of social justice, racial in particular, as it began in the African American community.
But the points mentioned in this thread pertain more to the transgender/non-binary takeover of the woke movement.
I've seen the pronoun selection now, on a few forms, and that is new, but it's typically not a required a field.
As far as entertainment, I think ABC/Hulu is the most woke of them all. At least more than Netflix or Apple TV. It's like every sitcom has a mixed raced family with someone introduced that is LGBTQ+.
Even in the ABC John Ritter documentary from last year, they had Raven Symone as a commentator. What she had to do with John Ritter is nothing, but ABC felt it had to diversify the contributors.
Noticed more racial diversity in the movies, the new Ghostbuster or Spiderman, the lead kid has Asian and mixed race friend. I get it that diversity is good, but sometimes over done a bit.

For some you may think that, and some that support the "woke" may think it's about that but for the elite in places of leftist power it is a means to bring in a new socialist order. And if you think I'm out there saying that listen to the student's reason why they think the constitution needs to go. Here is some of what they said...
1 it was written by old rich white men
2 it doesn't represent my color
3 not enough diversity was in it or by enough of a group of diverse people
4 it doesn't have pronouns of they/them ect.
All the controversy these days and topics be it control over education, climate change, the open border, race issues, gay issues, free speech and "disinformation" issues, even COVID and so on, the positions of the far left on these is to eventually dismantle national integrity and loyalty and bring in a more global socialist order. And people like Soros and other entities are funding this and why every American politician he contributes to happens to tow these far left agendas.
What is hindering them is national loyalty and the constitution so no surprise they try to label domestic terrorists as the largest threat to democracy which is code for anyone not far left is a threat, no surprise that students like these are now being indoctrinated to believe it's time to toss out the constitution.
One leftist writer for the new republic admitted as much two years ago quote: "The American left should work toward abolishing the Constitution someday—either for a new document or a new democratic order"
I work for a Fortune 500 company that handles industrial supply chain and I cover a rural/suburban area of a red state. Pretty much everyone I work with, both internally and externally, is conservative. The only people with pronouns in their bios/signatures are the HR people and the executives who are beholden to DEI. Our ceo sent a company wide email asking us to add our pronouns and not one person on my team did. Email was openly mocked around the office. A member of talent acquisition who I’m friendly with says that they don’t even consider candidates with pronouns in their resume because they won’t be a good culture fit. There is still hope!
Great! Yay. Don't give in. Glad you seem to have the numbers and most on the same side. Maybe we stand a chance.
I left a graduate program I was really excited about (see my status) after someone reported a discussion I had on LinkedIn about “systemic racism.” The school told me I had to explain myself but would not tell me what rule I apparently broke. It was really ridiculous and obvious that they were simply hassling me for even questioning it and not just going along with the woke, progressive stance that has permeated everything.
It was the marriage and family therapy program. The course content was woke, the textbooks, professors, and really the entire field and professional associations. I decided I should not have to explain political comments I made on a school break nowhere near a classroom and withdrew from the school. I can see if it was happening within a course room discussion, but this was just some random chick who has nothing better to do than go around screen shotting and complaining about people she disagrees with. It’s sickening.
I’m ultimately glad it panned out like that, although it’s still very disappointing in many ways. Cancel culture is real. Never thought it would happen to me but it did, and I’m a nobody. They will not stop until they cause problems for anyone not toeing that line.
Shows are cancelled. Books are cancelled. Comedians are cancelled. Artists are cancelled. When did the left become against artistic expression? WTH?
We also have to put up with BS protests about BS things. Protesters tend to block roads and public parks and squares.
I feel my first amendment rights are under attack by this Woke Clown World we're stuck in. If you say something that is anti-Woke, you run the risk of being cancelled. The Woke crowd are the real fascists and they're out in the open now.
Honestly Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle were two of my favorite comedians before kids. Absolutely hysterical and I’m white. Whatever happened to seeing a little bit of truth and poking fun at it? It’s just not allowed now. The left is too uptight.
It doesn't affect me in the least apart from what I see in this forum or on TV, so nothing direct. There are a few people at work that include their pronouns in their email signatures, although even these indicate the traditional pronouns. It has no direct impact on me or my life.
