Congressman Lee Zeldin was attacked at a campaign event in Perinton Thursday night. Zeldin is the Republican candidate for governor in New York State.
Witnesses say Zeldin was giving a speech about bail reform at the VFW on Macedon Center Road when a man got on stage, started yelling, “wrestled with him a bit, and pulled a blade out.”
The alleged attacker was suppressed by AMVETS national Director Joe Chenelly. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said he was taken into custody.
Zeldin was not injured.
Everything Democrats accuse Trump and his supporters of... they do themselves.
They attack people, and the leaders provoke people to attack.
Another attempted murder on Republicans by a Democrat. Just like the time a guy rolled up to a congressional softball game and shot up a bunch of Republicans that the media quickly forgets about. Obama, Maxine Waters and every other looney leftist promotes and praises such actions. Despicable.
If I lived in NY, I would definitely not vote for the incumbent who tries to have her competition murdered.

Glad that they arrested him without injury but since when is calling someone a far right republican translate into a call for violence.
Zeldin is a far right Trumper, he voted against the election certification without proof and still believes the election was stolen. So yes he is very far right and since when is that barred from debate.
Amazing how quickly some know the background of the attacker and his motivation.
