I love it when the dimwit "leaders" in DC don't even understand the basic concepts in the Constitution. It's very reassuring. I would expect such cluelessness out of the lefties, but not out of the ones who are supposedly champions of the Constitution.

Cliffnotes version for the DC vermin: if it ain't in the Constitution, it ain't your business. It's a state issue.

Is that really so difficult to grasp?

why should something covered under individual/group insurance, be a federal "right"

anyone can go buy condoms

anyone (usually females) who goes to a doctor, can get a prescription for contraception...and get it filled at any drug store.... the only thing insurance is for is to pay for it

the FEDERAL government should have NOTHING to do with contraception, except the FDA to make sure it is safe

what is it that the liberfascists want?.... it is make it a federal "right", so it can be free??

because if that is the case... then guns and ammo should be free...it also means that there shouldn't be a thing called a marriage license, as you should not have to pay for a right

why dont liberals be honest...all the crap they peddle is about nannycare

And please tell my why contraception SHOULD BE a Federal right?

Libs are becoming more and more crazy over time. It is painfully obvious to any sane American that we must ultimately separate from these loons to save the nation.

From what I understand, the purpose of the legislation is not to make contraception free for Americans nationwide, but to block states from banning contraception if the Griswold decision is reconsidered by the Supreme Court, the same way some states are now banning abortion after the Supreme Court reversed Roe...

The purpose of the legislation is to block state governments from banning contraception. Do you think it's right for the government to prevent couples from using contraception?

Not surprisingly, it appears that Democrats learned nothing from Roe v Wade and are still entirely clueless regarding the 10th Amendment. For the umpteenth million time: Abortion is not a federal issue. Nor are contraceptive rights. Why can't thick-headed Dems understand this?

But it's okay if a state government wants to block a consensual couple from using contraception in a sexual relationship?

Why on earth do you think Viagra should be covered by insurance? Do you understand where the money for insurance coverage comes from? That's right: everyone with insurance. Which means you want everyone else to pay for someone's Viagra prescription.

Why should any government, state or federal, have any right to regulate our sexual relationships? Whether or not 2 individuals in a sexual relationship decide to use contraception or not should be entirely up to them, not the government! I think that's what the Congressional bill does - it enshrines into law that it should be up to couples, not the government. How we manage our sexual relationships shouldn't be a state issue, either...
