That pronoun stuff just seems like a modern fad that will fade away in a few years.
If the last couple of years has taught us anything, it isn't that the Progressives are going to just allow something to "fade away". People can no longer just sit back and say it will just go away, that is what got us here.

Well, "the last couple of years" doesn't mean much in the long term. It took go-go boots and disco longer than a couple of years to fade away...but they did fade away.
Trying to introduce excessive pronoun complexity into English grammar is going to fade away because grammar does not accept complication over time, it simplifies. New people learning the language (both kids and ESL learners) are not going to absorb complications that are hardly used or necessary.
What will become common is the use of they/them as a neutral pronoun because it does simplify the grammar. In fact, people have been sloppily using they/them as a neutral pronoun since forever, to the constant dismay of grammar geeks. Whether it gains commonality in cases that gender is known and singular, is another question...in those cases that use introduces considerable confusion in the written language: "Each Catholic nun wears their habit in different ways." That's a two-fold element of confusion that may not become common outside a spoken use when the context is fully understood by all parties.
This is a funny short video illustrating the point.
My name is Tewest86 and I'm sitting at the table with a pen in my left hand and my rooster in my right hand. I go by the pronouns it, them, they, and everyone.
They said Trump was an embarassment..
They are the embodiment of their accusations.
Yeah, democrats are creating a whole new dimension to the concept of embarrassment.
But at least Kamala actually knows she’s a woman….
