I think of the DOJ tries to charge him with anything, they're going to have a hard time coming up with charges that could stick.

Of course they may not care, and this is just a bald faced attempt to influence the November elections, and keep him from running again in 2024.
Of course he had the power to call them off. I heard rioters on January 6th say themselves that they were there because of Trump.

Just because he didn't have a flag pole or a gun at the Capitol doesn't mean that he is innocent. There are also the emails with his attorneys and staff that talk about fake electors that they knew were fake electors. There is some possibility of fraud there as well.

Failing to call off the protestors was just one part of his dereliction of duty. Not to mention the lies he spread and continues to spread about the election results. He is a sick, sick man.

Since there were no cross examinations, then I don't doubt you and others believe everything that the committee is wanting you to think in their 'court to sway public opinion'. I'll save my judgment for when/if there is a real "trial".

And yet, they didn't listen to him when he'd told them at the rally and during his tweets that afternoon to be peaceful and to respect the cops. He didn't 'control them', they did what they wanted to do.
