Reminds me of the hit song in the 70's called "short people".

You mean "midgets"?

What the hell. I really do not give a rip who is offended (and who is not) by normal english.

If you are too sensitive to live in this world, please exit.

It's been derogatory since I was a kid... so going back 30 years.

I have a friend whose child was diagnosed with dwarfism in the past two years. I think they prefer the term little people.

You might feel differently if it were your child dealing with dwarfism. I can always tell those who are kind and compassionate versus those who are not by the way they express themselves. Thankfully, most people are kind.

I suggest that we start a thread with "politically correct" terms for words that SOME people find offensive.

For example, instead of the offensive term, use the politically correct term below:

Fat ---------- Girth Endowed

Skinny ------ Caloric Deprived

Short -------- Vertically Challenged

Crazy -------- Mentally Deficient

Stupid -------- IQ Impaired

Ugly ---------- Visually Unappealing

Clumsy ------- Lacking Dexterity

Rude -------- Bereft of Social Consideration

That's all I can think of at the moment. Perhaps you can add others.

Ugly = aesthetically challenged

Randy Newman - I remember the song, too.
People really need to grow some skin. Everything is offensive these days to someone.
