Counseling will be offered for practically anything these days, as if we needed more examples of how utterly soft and ridiculous our nation has become (unless it involves road rage, when everyone suddenly becomes Bruce Willis).
The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) held a group counseling session to help students cope after a professor tweeted about the connection between gay men and monkeypox, according to the event’s website.
Seriously are these kids that fragile that they need counseling? No wonder the military branches are having a tough time recruiting these days.
The Professor will probably be made to issue an apology and hopefully he will not be fired because he only stated the connection between the pox and gay men.
I know a guy that is an RN and part of his job is to contact trace when someone shows up to his clinic with the Pox. One of the questions he asks of these Gay guys that are the primarily infected is "How many people have you had intimate contact with and do you know their names". Gay guys are very promiscuous and there is a town near me that is Summer time party central for the LGBQTIxyz crowd and Monkey Pox is a real problem.
There is a link between the Pox and Gay men. It is a fact and these young people and the University need to grow up and face the facts.

yeah, it's the "find a cure for homosexuality" that will be his undoing. Seems like he may have deleted his whole twitter account now

Well ^ is certainly offensive to reasonable people.
Never hurts to take an opportunity to remind people the only thing any of us really control is our own reaction.

This is more of the left’s deconstructionism. Continue to lower societal standards to the point where the truth cannot be spoken because we might hurt someone’s feelings. The reality is the people who are most useful in life are the ones willing to tell you the truth even when it is difficult. However, I don’t believe any amount of warning will stop homosexuals from being promiscuous. Men are traditionally the more sexually aggressive gender. The ones I know, even wealthy ones, readily admit to this.

Okay, even if that is the bigger issue why do these young adults need counseling? It wasn't that long ago the professor would be labelled a jerk with backward outdated uncaring thinking, a homophobe that doesn't understand, and we would all move on. No one would need counseling and the University wouldn't fall all over themselves to supply it. If you do not like the professor then don't take his class and avoid him.
I don't know what these young people are going to do when they are out in the real world and get a job where the boss/business does not celebrate Gay Pride month, Juneteenth or any other Woke "Holiday". How will they ever survive in the real world? In the real world there is no safe spaces to process emotions, you can do that on your own time.
I don't think it was right what the professor said about gay guys but that is his Right to think like that.
