Docs can be wrong in real time if the facts change moving forward. Looking backwards in retrospect makes common sense very easy.

Blindly trusting a doctor is the same thing as blindly trusting Big Pharma.

People need to be their own health advocate.

fwiw, as a layman, when I say "antibody test" I am meaning any test which shows the person what their expected/tested level of "immunity" is. That might be antibodies, "T cells" or whatever.

It is not my impression/understanding that general immune system function differs based on variant, but we were also talking about these "antibody" tests AFTER Delta had hit.

The idea that a person - like Jo48's husband or even now Biden - should STILL be on some shifting isolation protocol when they're not symptomatic just shows the continued lunacy of the "health experts" in charge.

Because by now everyone knows Biden tested positive again today, though he's apparently symptom-free.

Sure, the guy with the greatest power in the world can just oversee the government from the comfort of his residence between naps. Americans who are employees, and their employers, don't enjoy this benefit.

There never were facts - only speculation.

Umm... Unlike the pro covid vaxxers who are trying to re-write history, our feelings on what was going on WERE in realtime. You and others fought on here against all sorts of things that have been proven true. We aren't making things up after the fact. It really is unfortunate that you didn't keep a timeline of events but CD is good about keeping records of comments if you want to take the time and look back at them.

Look, I appreciate the time you have spent commenting on things as they progressed. I'd REALLY appreciate it if you would admit that a lot of what the skeptics and their "conspiracy theories" predicted turned out to be true. It could be character building.

but they can do it up to the 5th day of symptoms, as you said. And yes, I would assume there's a set of symptoms, or severity thereof, where they can diagnose on day 1 or 2 "yes, these are going to davance, let's get you on Paxlovid." And there are going to be cases they should probably monitor for a couple of days before making that call. ... taking things like prostate medication into account

While I feel good about being right about a lot of things over the last 2+ years ... I feel horrible for the people who were bullied and coerced into taking vaccine after vaccine - who are now ending up with covid. And trying to talk themselves into "the only reason I'm not dead is because I got vaccinated!!"

Most of it is all bull.

My spouse almost lost a good job over choosing to remain unvaccinated due to pre-existing health issues. The amount of hoops that were required to jump through to keep employment, and thereby health insurance, was no easy feat.

Honestly, I hope the potato drops dead because of all the pain he put people and their families through. And I'm not ashamed to say it.
