I feel like I've said this 1000 times in these threads ... but I'm old enough to remember when they were selling us how miraculous this mrna technology was, one of the selling points was how easy it would be to change the formulation to target new variants. It was touted as a "plug and play" vax.
We are going on two years now with the same vaccine.
Seriously, this "it's good enough" narrative is wearing thin. Especially when coupled with the excuse that "the virus is mutating, that's the problem" BS. Can't have it both ways.
The manufacturers have been working on and have some updates, but the virus does not cooperate and continues to mutate. The new edited vaccines may be no better. It would be different if the old vaccines were now ineffective. I've only posted this 100 times.
Omicron group of variants present completely different then the wild/Beta/Delta variant groups. It's almost like a different disease. Surely an updated vaccine based on the generic Omicron group and how it transmits, effects organ systems and replicates/mutates would be better then one based on covid v1.0.
I think 4 boosters means 2 primary series + 2 boosters. Something many Americans got, you included no?
There is a lot of evidence, including from RCT secondary analysis, that these vaccines do damage (be it sub clinical or clinical) to your cardiovascular system.
While cut offs like 4 weeks etc help isolate the vaccine as the primary culprit, there is no timetable on when the damage done manifests in a clot.
It bothers me how the requirements to have died from covid is so broad and non-specific. Did you die with covid even though you were asymptomatic and were killed in a car crash? COD Covid. Whereas adverse effects after a vaccine are not causal even when the person collapses with the needle still stuck in his arm.

The problems is by the time they come out with that omicron will be gone and something else will exist
I, personally, know a couple of people who got vaccinated and still got hospitalized from Covid. So count me in as one of those people who doesn't believe the vaccines prevent serious illness.
We had a healthy 47 year old woman in my office die from Delta despite getting the moderna vaccine 4 or 5 months before. I always wondered if maybe she had some type of undiagnosed condition because in reality even most unvaccinated healthy people at that age didn’t get hospitalized or die

It’s tough to say. I’ve heard many anecdotal stories of people who got COVID then got vaccinated then got COVID again where their 2nd bout of COVID was worse. I do think in a subset of people, the vaccines make their COVID worse. It all depends on the antibodies you make and those are all governed by genes.
So... No different then anyone else getting info second hand then.
That depends on their sources knowledge and experience, as well as their own.
