Was the building open to the public right before the attack on Jan 6 2021?
It might have been closed due to Covid.
Was it open in the few days leading up to the attack?

When the first protestors entered the building, if it was closed, obviously they must have broken in.

I can tell you one good book about this period - Betrayal by Jonathan Karl, who spoke with Trump many times.

Anyone critical of Trump will be branded a leftwinger. Or a traitor, liar, communist....

Actually Wikipedia says a police security perimeter was breached around 1 PM. I think that means the building wasn't open to tourists.

The east entrances were open - by whom - who are the 20+ agents who were in the crowd? Why hasn't Ray Epps been arrested - where is the transparency - oh that's right - they want to make sure Trump can't run.

Wikipedia's founder even says NOBODY should listen to wikipedia!

Wikipedia alowed Bidn's team to change the definition of "recession" and then locked its editing function after Biden's team was done installing their ficticious edits:

I've read the main doors to the Capitol were unlocked, opened, and protesters were waved into the building, & that there are videos of all of this.

Also, there was not "attack" on the Capitol...it was a protest.

The BLM riots were attacks upon local businesses, gov't buildings, police, & police station that were injured, & burned to the ground...those were the real "attacks". When you compare the 2, its very clear that there was NO attack on the Capitol. The only shot fired was not fied by any protester...nothing was burned....looting was very limited...damage in dollars Jan 6th was dwarfed by the BLM riots.

It was closed due to COVID. Even without COVID one cannot just stroll into the Capitol building. One has to make a reservation for a tour and you are taken through the rooms in a group. If you want to sit in the gallery, you have to get a special ticket from your Rep or Senator.

surely one knows the Capitol was closed for that day's proceedings.

a 3 second Google would tell you the Capitol only re-opened THIS YEAR because of inane Covid restrictions

if you're just now wondering if anyone entered the Capitol building, that they "must have broken in" then each entry door used would be broken. but they were not.

The people’s house can’t close? Isn’t the White House the people’s house? They don’t let the public roam just anywhere at anytime. All buildings paid for with tax dollars are the people’s houses. It’s just an expression don’t take it literally.
