It’s comical to compare democrat run cities to republican ones. The republican ones are far better places to live. Scottsdale, Greenville, Grand Rapids, Miami, Fort Worth all very desireable. San Fran, LA, Baltimore, Jersey city, Detroit… no so much. My home town Charlotte was a conservative city prior to Obama’s election. You can feel uptown getting more dangerous by the month.
The problem is the People living in these cities are so used to the Democrat leadership that they do not dare consider a Republican. The Democrats offer handouts that the Reps would tighten up the abuse/fraud of. The Democrats offer the easy way out for the downtrodden to blame oppression, discrimination for the perpetual poverty and the Reps would push for personal responsibility. The Democrats are on the side of minorities in their struggle against the white supremacist Cops and the Reps are RACIST and would make it much worse.
It is easy to be a Democrat because you never have to worry about yourself and if that means you have to deal with dirty and violent streets where death is common than so be it.

Of course they can. By getting rid of the welfare state which encourages single parenthood. You actually think single parenthood just happens? Nothing has caused it?
Violent crime in these cities is mostly coming from blacks — both the victims and the criminals —in these cities blacks are higher than the normal 13% of population, and democrats REFUSE to address the black crime rate.
Dems tell us that Black Lives Matter, but then call you a racist if you try to address this tragic situation with blacks.
I think it’s racist NOT to address this.
Meanwhile BLM founders live the high life in McMansions paid for by contributions to the BLM movement!

This always makes me wonder why Republicans can never take control of the economic engines of the states. It's fascinating. Here in red South Carolina, the two biggest cities are blue. I wonder why? Why can't the Republicans who control the state control the cities?
And sure the big blue cities like New York la Boston Chicago Philadelphia have the worst rates of crime and poverty and homelessness but is it because they are blue or is it because of the size of the cities and what that brings? Since we have no ability to compare a republican city of the same size we have no way of knowing whether or not it's because of democrat policies or is it because of once you get into cities of that size you are going to have higher rates of crime poverty and homelessness. Sure we can make all kinds of theories about what we think and feel but we don't know
Not true at all , I clearly remember NYC being a crime ridden shathole before Giuliani, and clearly remember how much better it was under his leadership.
It doesn't take a genius to see how it has severly declined since he was replaced by Democrats.
