John Kirby is much, much better than Jean-Pierre. But then he should be - he's had a lot of experience in Public Affairs, and was a Rear Admiral in the Navy, so he had plenty of chances to think on his feet. He's wont to carry the adminstration's water, but he pretty much has to. I have a hard time he believes some of the things he has to espouse.

That's only the case if what he said isn't true. But it is true, so just a statement of fact. She had some big shoes to fill after Peppermint Patty - she was good at what she did - and so far she's not that polished. Maybe she will be one of these days. It's a tough job.
With the vote results from Kansas, you would think that she would be focusing on how the system is working as it should. Where the Supreme Court said the decision belongs with the States and Kansas decided to keep the Amendment.
Unless she did a total 180 in another statement, they of course didn't go that route. It's apparently a lot easier to tear down than to actually try and find points people can come together on.

No. Actually the Constitution rules on what is constitutional or not.
The Supreme Court tries, or at least should try, to tell everyone what the Constitution says about whatever case they have before them.
Sometimes the Supreme Court gets it wrong (see Roe v. Wade). And sometimes the court sees that they got it wrong years ago, and corrects itself (see Dobbs).

I believe that the poster simply stated the facts. I love it when gays, for instance, want us to all acknowledge and perhaps accept their gayness, but if someone states that they are gay, the person is labeled homophobic. That’s not the way it works.
