I don't get the whole hating someone because they are a Dem or GOP. I know awesome people in both parties.

Yeah, your list has the carrots and mine the sticks but they both have the same purpose, incentives to get you to behave a certain way. I just wanted to point out that more often then not, if you refuse the carrot, prepare to get hit with a stick.
