The woke left controls the UK now? I guess the middle east is the last bastion of god-fearing morality. Apparently they were not aware of the inappropriateness of the one costume, and just thought they were getting a monkey circus. It's up to you to believe that, or if it was the actions of an ultra-elite pedophillic global cabal.

If idiots want to refuse to fund libraries because Little Johnny might see something they object to, well there’s no fixing stupid. Especially without libraries and books.
Being outraged over child pornography in public libraries, funded by taxpayer money, is stupid?

No. The stupid part is defunding the entire library because some people object to some books. Why don't they protest the books in question, or ask that they be put on a separate shelf that requires parental permission. I'm sure they could come up with a solution that doesn't involve shutting down the entire library.

They jus ban speakers at colleges. Oh and cancel actors and actresses.

The town didn't ban anything. They don't want to Support a library that carries things they don't like. They don't want to 'cater' to that subject matter.
They voted fair and square. Even if I didn't agree, it's what they voted for. It's like being mad that Biden won because people voted him in.

I’m outraged over books on hunting and wouldn’t want my kid exposed to pictures of bloody animal carcasses. Should they be removed due to my distaste? Books should be distributed to age appropriate areas. I’m pretty sure there are no “pornographic” books in the children’s part of the library. If parents aren’t taking responsibility to make sure their kids stay in the area with appropriate books that’s on them.

I’m good with the vote. If the majority of people don’t want to fund libraries then that’s the way it should go. It’s the people who want to ban certain books because they personally find them offensive. They want a public library funded by ALL taxpayers that caters to only some.

Funny, but the Leftist WOKE gangster squad is more than fine with shutting other views and beliefs down, even with violence or the threat of violence, but if ANYBODY stands up for traditional views, the Leftist cry bloody murder…. AND!! Prepares for a campaign of protest with the usual violence or the threat of violence.

Personally, I don’t blame the parents SINCE it’s their community and if the public library isn’t willing to meet the community halfway or whatever, screw them and the deserve to have their budget cut.

And no, this isn’t some form of censorship either since the Left has censored plenty of things like classic Disney cartoons and more, to include factual history.

This works both ways and the sooner the Left realize that they are not the final authority of what is allowed or not, the better the entire country will be. So, don’t cry me a river when a community makes a stand AND legally make their voices heard.

Honestly, this would be a good chance for the rich elitist to fund the entire operations of this library!!

It's still a soft form of censorship (if the voters' problem truly was particular books/book characteristics, room for doubt) via reducing access. It's just democratic censorship (never thought I'd say that...), as the majority voted against literature access. Sometimes democracy can be dictatorship of the majority.
