We already knew that the FBI didn’t investigate a number of these tips, even those made first-hand by the accusers themselves. We’ve known from the start that the “investigation” that laid a clear path to Kavanaugh’s confirmation was a total sham. But I guess there’s something comforting about finally hearing it confirmed by the head of the FBI himself.
It was obvious at the time that the "confirmation" hearing was a sham with Kavanaugh's crying and calendars and Lindsey's drama.
What wasn't obvious was the part the FBI played. I assumed they were being restrained from investigating Kavanaugh. Turns out they were were part of everything.
Is this the thing where he was supposedly standing in line with all of the male student body in his college waiting his turn for bonking during a gang rape? And it's just now coming to light?
Yeah, I'm sure that happened. I'm also sure that unicorns gallop across the western horizon.
For those that did not bother to read what Mr. Wray said, he said that the FBI submitted the 'tips' to the Trump White House, and only investigated those tips that the White House decided to send back for investigation.
Of course, the FBI should have investigated the tips themselves.
Look at it this way: suppose 'tips' were being sent to the FBI concerning the Hunter Biden laptop, and the FBI simply sent the tips to the Biden Administration, saying "Which of these tips should we investigate?".

You can't be for one, but not the other.
Suppose? The FBI told the computer store owner that the laptop would be in storage, just in case Hunter requested it back. Basically, they were saying they weren't even going to bother looking at it no matter what the store owner said was on it, and apparently they did not look at it.
