Who gets to decide who has an opinion and who doesn't?
Apparently you think you do.

Blatant only if you are clueless about history, context, and the many efforts Russia attempted prior to its decision to engage military action. The my man from Pink Floyd was absolutely spot on, and the interviewer was ineffectually countering with the same old mainstream propaganda talking points, with zero success.

Now, I want this to be perfectly clear, I am not an advocate of war by any stretch, because it’s horrific, and causes so much human suffering, particularly among the innocent non combatants. And I believe that it is the obligation of every nation and every leader to avoid military action until every other alternative has been exhausted. And the hard cold reality is, Russia did, IN NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS, try to avoid it, giving Ukraine and the Western powers every opportunity to avoid the conflict. And, had there been a desire to do so on the part of the globalist controlled west, and NATO, it would have been. But the opposite was true. Western powers controlling NATO pushed Russia into a corner, with years of broken promises, and hostile maneuvers, none the least of which occurred in 2015 and the western instigated and funded overthrow of Ukraine’s government, and installing a cross dressing western puppet as the new president. That the western powers would operate 23 bioweapons laboratories on Ukrainian soil, install a puppet regime, and use NAZI militias to terrorize and murder ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine is just the beginning of the deliberate provocations.

Russia offered a promise of no military intervention in Ukraine, with the only condition being Ukraine’s promise in return, not to pursue NATO membership. That offer was rejected, and it is absolutely clear that the cause of this conflict is NATO’s continued provocations and threats to Russia’s security in their continued expansion along Russia’s borders. PERIOD.

He went off the deep end years ago. He’s a complete idiot. There is a reason nobody wants to be in a band with him.

Dave Gilmour has a big falling out with him.

Waters views do not represent any one but himself.

Not Just Gilmour though. The whole band. Nobody would work with him. They gave up millions of dollars NOT to work with him. He has a God complex. He is a complete egomaniac who thinks he is some sort of prophet.

His problem is not that he has opinions. His problem is that he thinks his opinions are actually the universe speaking through him, and they are not to be questioned by mere mortals. That is why nobody can stand to work with him. Because you cant work with him, you can only work FOR him.

Roger has gone completely off "The Wall" on this one. Would he have the said the same about Hitler invading his home country and taking his Daddy from him?

I can agree with those that say America may have helped to push the war further by helping Ukraine but what should we have done? Ignore it and let Russia just plow over Ukraine? We were asked for help so we gave it. Now Roger calls it our fault for agreeing to help Ukraine when they asked. Putin was the clear aggressor here, there was no provocation from Ukraine at all and many countries saw this coming weeks before when Russia started building up it's troops at the border and Ukraine did nothing to provoke them to do it. Russia just decided it was their land to take back but clearly Ukraine does not think so.

The late Richard Wright also fell out with Waters, as did Nick Mason.

However it was power struggle between Waters and Gilmour, that finally saw Waters leave the band in 1985.

Waters has always been a controversial character, and I don't take his views any more seriously than any other celebrity.

Waters is a good musician, and his stance regarding war relates to losing his father in WW2.

I think the constant inclusion in stage performances of 'When The Tigers Broke Free', about Water's fathers death, was a bone of contention between Waters and Gilmour.

A mediocre song on an otherwise masterpiece of an album.

Waters was an OK musician. Neither his bass playing or vocal ability were anything legendary. His songwriting was legendary.

Gilmour was the brilliant musician in the group, both his guitar playing and his melodic voice.

It was the combination of brilliant songwriter and brilliant musician that made Pink Floyd the phenomenon that they were.

People that like to act like they know more about music than everybody else, always talk about Sad Barrett, and what a tragedy his departure was, but I say they are full of crap. They never would have achieved the success they did had he remained with the band.
