But, but, but, but no one making less than $400,000 will pay one cent more in taxes than they are paying now.

Sort of like "If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep it".

Lesson learned. Never ever believe what a politician says, especially a Democrat one.

We don’t have a taxing problem. We have a spending problem.

exactly my point! In 1930, before "The New Deal" Gov't spent ~10% of GDP, & after this 2018 chart is updated to August 2022, Gov't will be spending ~50% of GDP...& in 2025 it will be ~55% Gov't is sucking the private sector dry like a 'uge parasite.

Most of the spending goes to the top 1% and those in DC. Why are so many of the wealthiest zip codes are in DC? How do you think polticians go into office worth $200k, & few years later are worth Millions? (like Stacy Abrams). Why do you think our wage & wealth gaps are huge?

The top 1% have tax loopholes that both political parties created & keep in place (like "carried interest" Krysten Sinema insisted before she'd sign this bill), and the bottom 57% pay no net federal income taxes.
If you are in the top 2%-43%, you are carrying 330,000,000 Americans on your backs. You are being fleeced, & you had better vote more wisely in the future...the 87,000 new IRS Agents are coming for you!

This is excellent. The left is shooting themselves just in time for midterms.

I think its better just to shut it down. But second best is the above. It would be one thing if we spent whatever we took in to run the government. But they can't even get that right and we overspend hundreds of billions each year. Now with rising interest rates paying the interest on the debt is rising rapidly.

But your solution for a dysfunctional government is more spending and weaponizing the IRS to go after all Americans because our government is incapable of balancing its budget. Something every American family has to do. And naming it some sort of inflation reduction plan is so ridiculous it boggles the mind.

This is why I don't ever vote for Democrats. I have my issues with the GOP. But they are right on this.
