(g)(1) Upon the conclusion of a President's term of office, or if a President serves consecutive terms upon the conclusion of the last term, the Archivist of the United States shall assume responsibility for the custody, control, and preservation of, and access to, the Presidential records of that President. The Archivist shall have an affirmative duty to make such records available to the public as rapidly and completely as possible consistent with the provisions of this chapter.
(2) The Archivist shall deposit all such Presidential records in a Presidential archival depository or another archival facility operated by the United States. The Archivist is authorized to designate, after consultation with the former President, a director at each depository or facility, who shall be responsible for the care and preservation of such records.

The three main points:
1) POTUS has wide discretion to implement the PRA as he sees fit.
2) There is no enforcement mechanism in the PRA so the FBI is powerless to intervene in a records dispute between the NARA and POTUS.
3) Even before Trump, the courts have always sided with POTUS/VPOTUS on this.

We don’t know what they took and I doubt Trump himself knows. We are talking about volumes of paperwork here, which I doubt Trump himself has ever even touched.
If he said anything to the public like you want him to and somehow he was mistaken, you would be the first to lambast him. This is why lawyers always tell their clients to not say anything that is related to the case and it’s good advice.
That’s one of the biggest flaws in such actions the FBI engaged in, and they know it. This is another political smear, with zero chances of any criminal conduct provable, other than what the FBI is guilty of.
Let’s just say they actually “find” documents that Trump wasn’t supposed to have … how can you prove chain of custody? Obviously, Trump wouldn’t be the one to pack up his stuff, load it and move all of it. He does know. The FBI gave him the warrant. He knows what they were seeking and he knows what they took. But he's not saying anything about that, and he's not disclosing the warrant. We know why. You do, too, but you won't admit it.
