You don’t get it.
It’s not “Trump worshippers” who are the only concerned people. And it’s not all about Trump. Independents, mostly, and common sense reasonable people see the difference in persecution of political opponents of democrats compared to democrats not being held accountable for the same or worse behavior.
The tactics of intimidation, bullying, humiliation, false and disinformation, overreaching and abuse of power is out in front of our faces for all to see.
It’s about the direction this country is heading.

There doesn't need to be a record of it. POTUS is under no obligation to tell anyone when he declassifies anything.
The PRA has no enforcement mechanism. The FBI is powerless to enforce it and if that was what the search warrant was for, it never should have been issued in the first place. See the Yale Law article (includes court case citations) at the link I posted earlier in this thread.

You think he could automagically wave his hand and say "I hereby declassify that box of papers," not even tell anybody, and have it be legally declassified?

There is a procedure for everything in government, usually written down in umpteen Process and Procedure notebooks. The President is not God or king. He cannot secretly declassify documents without telling anyone and expect people to know he did it. A three year old could understand that.

He was advised by his legal staff to do so. Any misplaced comma, misspoken word, anything the man said would have been pounced on by all political opponents, and the technocratic democrat machine. Best to take the advice of one’s legal team.

BTW, if he didn't want 30 strangers rooting through his house, he should have returned the documents when they asked nicely months ago.

Exactly. The prosecutor couldn't make a case that there was any criminal activity.
