Of course they are, comey clearly said that hillary did something wrong (with classified+ information), but as the fbi director, he very clearly stated that (paraphrased) no prosecutor would bring this to court.

So, my turn: It's pretty apparent that hillary did the same thing as trump. Who should go to jail, or should either?
Wait what? They investigated Hilary and did not find enough evidence to try her. That is not even close to what is happening here, we are just getting started.

So for once get off your "what about X Democrat" and answer the question. If Donald Trump did in fact mishandle classified documents, and it is proven that he can not simply declassify documents, do you want him prosecuted? We all know your answer so do not even bother.

Who knows? You don't and I don't. I doubt anyone on this forum knows exactly the innerworkings of the WH and SCIF's. We all think we understand how it is supposed to work, but in reality none of us know. And for anyone to claim on here otherwise is just spouting off opinions like the rest of us. The fact of the matter is that if, and that's a big IF, he has stolen documents, ie nuclear secrets, then he should be charged and prosecuted. If he doesn't then we all move on. I'm not a Trump fan at all, but instead of defending him blindly why not see what he had in his possession and go from there.

Can we settle this once and for all? Can President Trump de-classify any government document on his own or not?

To the bold, you're not. You cannot even have a smart watch in a SCIF. Much less have the ability to just jump up and walk out with documents, no matter who you are.

A President in office can. Not after. That's what I read but I'm not a constitutional scholar.

If you don't know then why not just say you don't know and leave it at that, instead of coming up with some wild fantasy?

A SCIF is one of the most secured rooms that there is.

Lmao
The bigger question, why did they wait for more than a year and a half?

What do you mean, like in his head and not tell anyone? Yes, he can declassify anything he wants. But he has to do it while president. If these documents are classified, that means he didn't declassify them.

I see some on Twitter claiming Trump can declassify just like he can claim presidential immunity after he left office. It's complete nonsense Trump is a private citizen if anyone else was caught with classified documents in their home they would be arrested immediately.

I didn't know there were government secrets in trump's wife panties because the fbi went through her clothes!
