Whoever said yesterday that Trump just lost Ari Fleischer based on a tweet ...
Ari just said that he has it on good authority that not only does Trump not know what was in those boxes, he never even opened them.
So there's that.
Ari F could be right. After all, we kept hearing about how Trump never read anything and his daily briefing couldn't be more than one page with 3 bullet points.
So who else could have moved those boxes to Mar A Lago?
In that case, who was he giving or selling the nation's secrets to? Who was he spying for? Espionage means spying for foreign governments.
Haha he sold them to Putin so he wouldn’t release the golden showers tape. Tune in tomorrow to liberal lala land to find out what else! Most gullible group of people I’ve ever seen, you would think after falling for so much nonsense you’d be more hesitant.
Federal law enforcement suspected former President Trump had violated the Espionage Act and other laws when it sought and obtained a search warrant for his Mar-a-Lago estate, according to court records unsealed Friday.
The unsealed warrant shows that investigators were authorized to seize any documents or records with classified markings or related to the “transmission of national defense information or classified material.”
Might want to tell this .gov site. I'm sure they would like to know their rules are all wrong.
Where does it say the President can declassify them. It doesn't. There is a process, and the process must be followed by law. It includes the President, but it is not his/her sole authority.
This Executive Order issued by Obama is still in effect. In short, Trump can't take it home.
I bet he’s already sent them to Putin, what a traitor bring the death sentence! Trying espionage now on a former president? They are desperately running out of options here. Obstruction is usually the easiest charge to pin on somebody and they couldn’t even do that during the Mueller witch hunt. Good luck with your espionage.
The FBI was allowed to be at MAL and allegedly invited to come any time, nothing to hide, right?
The FBI went the legal route, got a search warrant, which allowed them to look for and remove boxes that could contain information that is owned by the government and needs to be where other tightly controlled secret info is stored by the government, at government-owned or controlled facilities.
The FBI didn't announce anything, they went to MAL after dark, it looks like, had arranged with secret service to legally enter the property, and seized various boxes as detailed on their warrant.
Maybe no crime has actually been committed. Maybe no one is "targeting" Trump. Maybe this was the legal way to go collect documents that had been requested and subpoena'd.
Maybe outrage is not warranted.

Yesterday on Fox News, Christina Bobb, Trump's attorney stated that they had been cooperating with FBI since June, that they had open access to documents at any time. She was there when the raid was conducted. Here's your link:

As explained in this story, it might not even matter whether the documents were classified or not. This isn't an element of the offense.
