They were not declassified.

haha it's pretty amazing when you look at all the steps in this process. I will be the first to admit I was not aware of all of the events or the thoroughness of this investigation.

The standard used is "probable cause."

Hard evidence is really something that is determined after all search warrants are returned and an investigation with the evidence found or seized is evaluated. Determination is made if the evidence amassed in totality over the course of an investigation is enough to prove the charges to the standard of "guilt beyond a reasonable doubt" to a jury or judge, which is a much higher standard.

A grand jury was apparently convened. They voted there is probable cause a crime has been committed.

The judge signs a warrant, agreeing there is probable cause of evidence being found that will support the claim of a crime committed, and that gives legal permission to search a specific premises for a specific list of items listed in the warrant.

Because it wasn't advertised as these departments were acting professionally and quietly. And all it took was one big mouth to make sure we all found out about it. To the big mouth's detriment.

Why would this matter? He had classified documents he had no right to have. End of story,

It's curious why they picked him. Maybe the traffic court judge wasn't available or the guy at the car wash was on a lunch break. It reeks of FISA all over again, which is why the affidavit is important.

Further, and this isn't mentioned much, but if you think about it IF Trump had any classified documents or IF there was anything remotely incriminating, it would NOT be in a box in his basement. It would be hidden away so deep that Biden's KGB goons would have to kick down every door in America to find it.

Nobody could be that dumb to have incriminating evidence where it could be easily found unless, of course, you were Hunter Biden.
Agree with all of this

Trump says the docs were unclassified, and disputes the FBI's claim they were.

Both have lied before. Let's see who is lying now.

No. No one means those.

We have already pointed out that the warrant notes the items retrieved included documents with various top secret and other secret classifications.

If they had already been declassified before Trump left office, they would not have top secret and other classifications!

Some records taken by Trump are so sensitive they may not be described in public

Some of the presidential records recovered from former president Donald Trump’s residence at Mar-a-Lago are so sensitive they may not be able to be described in forthcoming inventory reports in an unclassified way, two people familiar with the matter said Friday.

The revelation comes as Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney (D-N.Y.) sent the National Archives and Records Administration a request for further information on 15 boxes of records recovered from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort last month. The Archives set Friday as its deadline for an inventory of the contents.
