What happened was that he was unable to corrupt the DOJ to do his bidding. If there had been sufficient evidence, they would have brought charges. In this case with the Trump documents there was sufficient evidence to get a search warrant. This isn't complicated or nefarious.
Fabricating or planting fake documents and trying to entrap McDonald Trump is like using a snow machine at the North Pole. I doubt they will have to alter documents for the tax cheating trial coming up. He's sloppy. He know how to cheat but he doesn't know how to cover his tracks. The tax cheating trial will put into jeopardy all of his wealth. I bet he'll come around then. If the dark forces offer him a deal on the; 1/6 involvement, espionage and cheating on his taxes to stay out of politics and go home with a slap on the wrist, he should take it.
I don’t think they are setting him up for a plea deal. His taking the Fifth handed Tish James carte blanche to go into court and state that Trump did not contend with the charges. Nola contendre means he is guilty by adverse inference.
If he is found guilty she will be able to dismantle Trump Org and bankrupt it.
I don't know where you get this from. You are saying the FBI has one chance to grab records without a warrant if let in. And anything they don't grab is suddenly approved items by the FBI.

They wanted to documents secured. So they could come back later with a warrant. Do you have documents that state the FBI called everything left approved?

Yes he did return documents, just not all of them, even after having had months to do so. This is on him.

Because he knew he would lose in court. If there had been a case to be made he would have done it in an instant, but no lawyer will take an obvious losing case into court. Barr is not a good guy, but he's also not an idiot.
