If this is over the classified documents retained at Mar-A-Lago then this goes back to February. No idea what Trump's statement means at the bottom. This should have been resolved, why didn't he just turn over the boxes to the National Archives like every other president.

WASHINGTON, Feb 18 (Reuters) - Former President Donald Trump took classified information to his Florida home after leaving the White House, the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration said in a letter to Congress on Friday about the 15 boxes of documents it recently recovered.
The Archives said it had informed the Department of Justice, which would handle any investigation.
"NARA has identified items marked as classified national security information within the boxes," David Ferriero, the archivist of the United States, said in a letter to Democratic U.S. Representative Carolyn Maloney, chair of the House of Representatives oversight committee.
"The National Archives did not 'find' anything, they were given, upon request, presidential records in an ordinary and routine process to ensure the preservation of my legacy and in accordance with the Presidential Records Act," Trump said in a written statement.

As a political tool, this 'raid' would have been the worst one to choose.
I'm not sure that Democrats running in midterms in November will be seeing this as a tool that will help them.

Desantis says that the FBI is being used as a weapon against Trump, while Hillary Clinton and Hunter Biden are treated with kid gloves. Do they really think we are all that stupid that we won’t notice?
Did DeSantis steal documents he knew were the property of the Archives?

The FBI assured the Trump election when their spokesperson condemned Billary days before the election.
It’s time folks, really and legitimately this clown show the left has been putting on for us needs to come to an end. Enough is enough. We need to do what we need to do. Trump needs to stop doing stupid stuff, like stealing documents, gifts and whatever else from the White House. You know, if one lives a good clean life, the FBI doesn't come knocking.
You really believe the deep state would risk the inevitable firestorm blowback from Trump and the MAGA crowd - which will be of enormous political advantage to him going forward - for an insignificant nothingburger? If so, it's a brilliant strategy to re-elect Trump. And, if so, then the 'deep state' is a Trump ally after all.

The Archives must have proof that Trump stole documents that are owned by the American citizens. Let Trump challenge the warrant in court.
The only reason to raid any place is to prevent the DESTRUCTION of evidence. If Trump has any documents being saved for his library, they were not going to be destroyed. The warrant is a farce.
