Makes sense BUT, we already have Laws on the books making it Illegal to even Protest in front of a Judge’s home or a Justice’s home. States, the Federal Government, the President AND the DOJ have totally ignored that Law. Funny how they ‘Cherry Pick’ which Laws to enforce.
He was crazy and had a gun, called 911 on himself, and was arrested by U.S. Deputy Marshals. Who ignored anything?
I'm not following this thread, so pardon any redundancy, and for bringing some critical thinking and deductive reasoning into the analysis-- always a wet blanket in discussions of politics, BUT--
a) As President, Trump was entitled to have in his possession any classified documents in question. It's not like he stole them from the DC WH and absconded with them to FL.
2) Presumably knowing what is in any such classified documents, having possession of them is neither here not there if his motives were to sell us out....or do you think a buyer of the info wouldn't believe him if it wasn't documented? No advantage to having the papers if espionage were involved.
C) As President, he was entitled to declassify these alleged documents by unilateral, and even arbitrary reasons at any time...which he claims he did--->
so, (4) the worst thing they can have on him is having performed the most grievous sin of all to a Federal Bureaucrat-- he didn't do the paper work!!! Oh, Nooooo.....!!
As everyone knows, when it comes to the Feds, it makes no difference if you did a good job, or even if you did the job, for that matter..AS LONG AS THE PAPER WORK IS DOINE.
OK OK Break it up...Everyone back in their computers, Folks. Nothing to see here.

He did abscond with them. Once he left the WH, he was no longer president and those documents were no longer his. He did return some of them, but didn't return all of them. The DOJ asked him for months to do so, sending him a subpoena, even meeting with him at Mar-A-Lago. When he continued to be uncooperative with the remaining documents, the DOJ deemed that a search warrant was necessary.
No, he cannot just declassify these documents unilaterally. However, the classification or declassification of the documents has nothing to do with the three reasons that the DOJ stated in their warrant for retrieving the documents. In other words, it wouldn't matter even if they were declassified.
It's much more complex than he didn't want to do the paperwork. You may want to go back read some of the posts on this thread.

Yeah. You should have read at least some of the thread before posting.
If you can't understand the importance of classified information, then it's really a good thing you don't work for the government.
