This whole thing is just another stupid anti-Trump fabrication. To anyone who has read the law, there is no possibility that Trump did anything wrong.

Not really. Legally, he doesn't even have to say anything at all. It was just a courtesy announcement.

The DOJ lies, too. It was a DOJ lawyer/s who signed off on all of the FBI's FISA warrant applications.

Anyone can say YOU "might" have committed a crime, too. Boom! Instant warrant. See how that works?

Trump told NARA that he himself returned the documents? Or did someone who worked for Trump do so? For example, when a CFO embezzles from a company, law enforcement goes after the CFO, NOT the CEO. Know what I mean?

In a statement, Trump said he arranged for boxes containing "letters, records, newspapers, magazines, and various articles" to be transported to the National Archives after "collaborative and respectful discussions."

Does the U.S. not have the right to legally recover classified and top-secret materials that are not where they should be ... documents which are to be managed directly by NARA in secure facilities?
Yes and no. For example...

https://www.courthousenews.com/court...n-white-house/

NONE of those materials, documents, etc., classified and top secret or not, were ever preserved or eventually managed by NARA and the federal courts OKed that as perfectly fine.

In filing in court a claim of executive privilege trump is admitting these are government documents under the control of the national archives per PRA

never once in the year and a half he was dealing with NARA FBI and DOJ did trump assert the documents were unclassified
None of the 400+ White House staffers back his claim they were declassified
** the trump administration went to court to get a ruling that trump stating something was declassified did not in fact declassify the documents. The exact opposite of what his MAGA supporters are arguing
When media and watchdog groups try to FOIA and MDR the documents they can’t because they are classified
It is in our national security interest to have NSA /CIA in control of these documents ASAP so the can determine what damage has been done to national security having these documents in a storage room at a country club

Trumps fingerprints on the documents and boxes indicate he knew the documents contained classified, tsi, sci information
Trumps lawyers drafted and signed a false affidavit stating that trump no longer possessed the documents. That is a crime with serious prison time.

This ii a a very accurate summary of where we are today. Well said

This was not a FISA warrant for surveillance. This was a search warrant to retrieve classified documents that Trump took that didn't belong to him. The proof of the pudding is that they retrieved classified documents that Trump took that didn't belong to him. There has to be probable cause for a search warrant to be issued.

The judge wrote an order saying the evidence presented to him for the warrant was reliable.
