That is because there is no critical thought with the left. they cannot see anything past their partisanship since Democrats want more IRS agents it’s obviously a benevolent thing and if you disagree you are a right winger
It's not about politics anymore. It's about fighting for our freedoms. Same group of people who are going after Trump and Republicans are also going after religion, white heterosexual men, those who are pro nationalism. It's about the super rich who have had enough of us peasants and they want their One World Order so they have complete control of everyone's lives. They are the ones that keep talking about population control and that you will own nothing and be happy. If you don't see what is going on, then you are blind.
No one is going after religion, white heterosexual men, or pro nationalists. What is happening is those groups are being told that they are not supreme and do not get to force their beliefs on everyone else to benefit themselves.
It is not "going after religion" to allow same sex marriage, or for a store's employees to say "Happy Holidays" or to disallow forced prayer in public.
It is not "going after white heterosexual men" to look for qualified job candidates who are not white heterosexual men.
None of which answers the question of why IRS agents are being armed. Last I looked, a paper cut doesn’t justify the use of a firearm.
There are armed IRS agents because some IRS agents are criminal investigators who go after actual criminals and arrest them. Cartel guys, fraudsters, large scale tax evaders who owe tens of millions, etc. These IRS agents are law enforcement officers. Do you want LEOs to try and arrest a cartel member unarmed?

Because those agents are law enforcement officers. They train at FLETC like other Federal agents. They carry badges, and they arrest criminals for violating the law.

Or maybe it's because the IRS currently has only 8,000 people performing audits of 150 million tax returns, and people are getting away with tax evasion as a result. The overall audit rate is something like 0.1% of returns, and the IRS estimates that $245 billion in taxes is not being collected as a result.
They didn't hire these people to go after the roughly 700 billionaires in the US.
They are gunning for the next two steps down --- the upper class and upper middle class.
And then they will make their way to the middle class.
This is the truth, these guys were hired to go after regular Americans. They were hired to go after people who tend to be conservatives. The people these new agents will audit will tend to be working people who live in suburbs and rural areas, people with solid middle class backgrounds. They will be looking for your tax errors, missing dots on the “I” or “t’s” not crossed. They will find a way to make conservatives irrelevant financially. They are already doing this by reporting conservative belief or activism to employers and demanding “cancellation” or that the employee be fired. This cancel culture activity is a leftist grass roots movement not government action. The hiring of IRS agents to target people and weaponize government is a very dangerous thing, a big step towards totalitarianism. This is a separate strategy to the same end, they believe they can make us poor and irrelevant or dependent upon government for our survival. Everything they are doing is intended to destroy the largely Republican conservative middle class (especially the upper middle class). No one should kid themselves, the inflation is by design, they want us desperate and poor.
