Card carrying republicans, every one, many actually handpicked by Trump, who turned on him when they saw that he was trying overturn an election he lost. Please...drop the "deep state" BS. It sounds dumber and dumber these days.

Nonsense.

I have held state jobs in three different states, and never had a politician's recommendation or reference. I have hired people in two of those states, and while I have occasionally seen a politician's name on a list of references, that has never changed my hiring decision.

I have also owned small businesses and won government contracts. Never anything really big, but I did it on the strength of my knowledge and ability, rather than any political patronage.

Remember, Trump is the smartest guy in the room and hires only the "best people."

Deepstaters, simply people in Government who have been in positions of power for a long time and they have formed deep connections with many others in the same category.

These Deepstaters hold a ton of power, and they use others in Government, who also hold positions of high power, to "help them out", when needed.

These connections between Deepstaters is a key to them "getting things done" in ways that are many times for their own agenda, their own gain, many times are illegal.

Wrong.

Go to usajobs.gov and apply for any job you are qualified for.

The only jobs that might require a special reference of some kind would be the presidential appointments, which are upper level cabinet positions and very upper level management.

I don't think the concept of a "deep state" is anywhere near as mysterious, novel, or of theatrical quality as some would seem to believe. Congress, under both parties over the decades, has gotten criminally lazy. They've delegated a substantial amount of their branch's authority away to the Executive, to the entrenched bureaucracy (unelected government employees), and to a lesser extent, to the Judiciary. As an example, they'll pass large (and often vague) bills, and leave it up to the aforementioned bureaucrats to fill in the details. Many of the bureaucratic decision-makers are corrupt to the hilt, and because they're career big government appointees and employees they're naturally going to skew to the left ideologically. Add in the typical perverse incentives of bribes, job security, and the wielding of unaccountable power, and it's no wonder the government apparatus in general has become a giant dumpster fire. These people know where their bread is buttered, and they're content with just knowing they've got one up on the average citizen.

There, no outlandish alien-tier tinfoil required. Just a concentration of selfish, shady human beings doing what selfish, shady human beings have always done.

Good question. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this and then we’ll know who is actually calling the shots in the WH.

Deep State is a term invented by Steve Bannon, who wanted to "deconstruct" (overturn) the US government.

Does anyone respect him or his screwy ideas? He will be on his way to jail soon.

Do you think Biden is calling the shots in the WH?
