Were any verifiable numbers given? I mean, it wouldn't shock me, he made some good money off of saying he was going to sue CNN (to date, not done). But details like that don't seem to bother his supporters.

People desperately want to control other people, and they'll spend $$$$ to try and pull strings.
And, all this falling in love with a political candidate? I've never "loved" a president, none of them, nor anyone else in any political position. It's a job they're choosing to do (or in some cases, not actually do). The most they'll get from me is a vote, and only if I am convinced they're able to do the job, have knowledge, and demonstrate their qualifications.
